Never cancels or changes a plan without your OK for that item. version: 1.0.0 updated: 2026-10-31 --- # Subscription Audit > Every recurring charge on one page, and the ones worth cutting. - Category: Home & Money - Schedule: Monthly, 1st at 9:00 AM - Works with: Grok Bot, Muse, Dots - Setup time: 3 minutes - Version: 1.0.0 (updated 2026-10-31) - Cost: light ## What it does Subscription Audit finds the money leaking out a few dollars at a time. Once a month it reads the receipt emails or statements you choose, lists every recurring charge with the monthly and yearly total, and flags what deserves a second look: two services that do the same job, a price that quietly went up, something you haven't used in months, and a free trial about to turn into a bill. Each flag comes with the service's own cancellation page. It cancels nothing unless you name the item and say yes. ## What you get - Every recurring charge with monthly and yearly totals - Duplicates and price increases flagged - Possibly unused services, asked as a question - Trials about to bill, with the last day to cancel - Each service's own cancellation link ## Data it uses - Gmail or Outlook (receipts), or statements you upload - Web search (cancellation pages) (optional) ## Safety - Writes or sends: Read-only. Never cancels or changes a plan without your OK for that item. - Reads: Receipt and renewal emails (only if connected) - Reads: Card or bank statements you upload or paste - Reads: Public cancellation and pricing pages - Cost: Low: one run a month (a first run over 13 months of receipts is heavier). - Warning: Never buys, pays, cancels, returns or sends anything without your explicit OK for that item. - Warning: Statements are sensitive: share only the ones you want checked. It shows only the last 4 digits of a card. - Warning: It never asks for or stores passwords, and never uses third-party cancellation services. ## Install - SKILL.md: https://botplaza.lol/skills/subscription-audit/SKILL.md - Zip: https://botplaza.lol/downloads/subscription-audit.zip - JSON: https://botplaza.lol/skills/subscription-audit.json - Ready prompt: https://botplaza.lol/api/install?slug=subscription-audit&platform=grok (or muse, dots) - MCP: call install_skill with slug "subscription-audit" at https://botplaza.lol/api/mcp ### Grok Bot (verified) 1. Copy skills/subscription-audit/SKILL.md (the whole file, including the --- header). 2. Open a one-to-one chat with your Grok Bot and paste the prompt below, with the file where it says. 3. When the Bot asks, connect: Gmail or Outlook (optional, to read receipts and renewal notices). It shows a connect card right in the chat. 4. Try it once now: "Run Subscription Audit." 5. The routine shows in the Bot's info pane (click the Bot's name in the chat header) under Routines, where you can pause or edit it. Note: Skills and routines are saved by asking the Bot; no settings to dig through. ### Muse (partially-verified) 1. Copy skills/subscription-audit/SKILL.md. 2. Open Muse and paste the prompt below with the file where it says. 3. Try it: "Run Subscription Audit." Muse has no skill install for outside skills, so it follows the pasted instructions. 4. Muse Code (developer CLI): unzip downloads/subscription-audit.zip, run `muse skills validate ./subscription-audit` then `muse skills install ./subscription-audit --scope user`. Optional: add the BotPlaza connector (https://botplaza.lol/api/mcp) under mcpServers in ~/.config/muse/settings.json. Note: Recurring tasks and Muse Code skill install are documented by Meta. Note: Dots are available on ChatGPT Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise, and are still rolling out. Pasting instructions in and scheduled check-ins are documented.
