--- type: skill slug: reading-digest name: Reading Digest audience: people category: Research schedule: Weekly, Friday 5:00 PM setup: 2 minutes platforms: [Grok Bot, Muse, Dots] writes_or_sends: Read-only. version: 1.0.0 updated: 2026-10-31 --- # Reading Digest > This week's papers worth reading, each explained in three lines. - Category: Research - Schedule: Weekly, Friday 5:00 PM - Works with: Grok Bot, Muse, Dots - Setup time: 2 minutes - Version: 1.0.0 (updated 2026-10-31) - Cost: light ## What it does Reading Digest scans preprint servers, journals, and the writers you trust for the week's new work on your topics. It reads past the abstract, picks the handful worth your time, and explains each in three sentences: what they did, what they found, and why it matters. Every pick gets one honest caveat, such as not peer reviewed or a small sample, so you know how much weight to give it. ## What you get - The 3–10 most worthwhile new items on your topics - Plain-language what / found / why it matters - An honest caveat for each - Preprint vs peer-reviewed clearly marked - An 'also out this week' list ## Data it uses - Web search - Read-later app (Readwise, Instapaper, Notion) (optional) ## Safety - Writes or sends: Read-only. - Reads: Public papers and articles (search and page reads) - Reads: Your saved read-later items (if connected) - Cost: Low: ~4 runs a month. - Warning: Summaries can miss nuance; open the paper before citing it. ## Install - SKILL.md: https://botplaza.lol/skills/reading-digest/SKILL.md - Zip: https://botplaza.lol/downloads/reading-digest.zip - JSON: https://botplaza.lol/skills/reading-digest.json - Ready prompt: https://botplaza.lol/api/install?slug=reading-digest&platform=grok (or muse, dots) - MCP: call install_skill with slug "reading-digest" at https://botplaza.lol/api/mcp ### Grok Bot (verified) 1.
