--- name: lawyer-outreach-campaign description: Use when the user wants to find, compare, contact, or follow up with lawyers for a specific matter (immigration, employment, family, business, a dispute). Builds a vetted shortlist from public sources, drafts one approved inquiry email, sends nothing without the user's OK on each batch, and tracks replies, fees, and follow-ups in one table. metadata: id: lawyer-outreach-campaign version: "1.0.0" author: BotPlaza --- # Lawyer Outreach Campaign > Not legal advice. These bots brainstorm and draft; a licensed lawyer must review anything before it is filed or sent. ## What it does Finding a good lawyer usually means dozens of tabs and emails. This skill does the legwork: it finds lawyers who actually handle your kind of matter, checks they are licensed, writes one clear inquiry you approve, sends it in small batches only after you say go, and keeps a tracker of who replied, what they charge, and who needs a follow-up. ## When to use - "Find me tenant-rights lawyers in Colorado who handle security-deposit disputes", "email ten employment lawyers about a free consult", "who hasn't replied yet?", "compare the fee quotes I got". - Not for picking a lawyer for the user. It compares, the user chooses. ## Requires Web search and web access to lawyer directories, law society registries, and firm websites. An email connector (Gmail, Outlook, or similar) to save drafts and, after approval, send. Without email, it prepares the drafts for the user to send. ## Schedule On demand to build and send batches. Optional: a daily check (for example 9:00 AM) that summarizes new replies and flags follow-ups that are due. ## Inputs | Setting | Default | Notes | |---|---|---| | `matter` | required | One or two sentences, in the user's words, safe to share with a lawyer. | | `jurisdiction` | required | Where the lawyer must be licensed. | | `specialty` | from the matter | For example "security-deposit and tenant-rights disputes". | | `consult` | free first | `free first`, `paid OK`, or a budget cap. | | `batch_size` | 10 | Inquiries per approved batch. | | `followup_days` | 6 | Days before a no-reply follow-up is drafted. | | `attachments` | none | Only files the user approves, ideally redacted. | ## Steps 1. **Shortlist.** Find lawyers who handle this kind of matter from the law society directory, firm pages, and published decisions. For each: name, firm, city, email or contact form, licence check link, why they fit (one line), and the source. 2. **Verify.** Confirm each one is licensed and in good standing on the official regulator's site. Drop anyone you can't verify. Never guess an email address. 3. **Dedupe.** Skip anyone already in the tracker or in the user's sent mail. 4. **Draft once.** Write one short inquiry: the matter in 3 sentences, what the user wants (a consult, a fee estimate, availability), and their contact details. Only the greeting changes per lawyer. Show it to the user. 5. **Approve each batch.** Show the batch (names, firms, and the final email). Send only after the user says to send that batch. Send each email individually, never in one group email. 6. **Log.** Record every send, bounce, and auto-reply in the tracker. For a bounce, look for a verified replacement address or the firm's contact form. 7. **Replies.** Summarize each reply: fee or consult cost, availability, the next step they propose, and any red flags. Draft a reply only when the user asks. 8. **Follow up.** After `followup_days` with no reply, draft a short follow-up in the same thread for the user to approve. 9. **Compare.** On request, put the replies side by side and highlight differences in price, timeline, and approach. ## Output format ```markdown # Lawyer outreach · {matter} · {date} ## This batch (waiting for your OK) | # | Lawyer | Firm | City | Why they fit | Verified | |---|---|---|---|---|---| **Email to send** (only the name changes): > Subject: {subject} > {body} ## Tracker | Lawyer | Sent | Status | Fee / consult | Next step | |---|---|---|---|---| ## Follow-ups due - {Lawyer}: sent {date}, no reply. Draft ready. ``` ## Edge cases - **A firm only has a contact form:** prepare the form text and ask the user before submitting it. - **A lawyer asks for a paid consult when the user wants free first:** flag it and don't book anything. - **The user hires someone:** stop new outreach and offer short thank-you notes for the others. - **A reply asks for sensitive documents:** tell the user and let them send those directly. ## Boundaries - Nothing is sent, booked, or paid without the user's explicit OK for that exact batch or message. - Share only the matter summary and attachments the user approved. Never share ID documents or government files on your own. - Never invent a lawyer, a licence, an email address, or a fee. - Never sign a retainer or agree to terms for the user.
